Under the leadership of Supervisor Anthony Reeder, the Lenox Township Senior Community Center proudly reopened on April 1, 2024, restoring a key piece of our township’s history to active community use.
Originally built as the Lenox Township Hall, the building served as the center of township government for decades. In 2007, when operations moved into the new Township Hall, the former hall was left vacant. Over the years, without use or upkeep, the building fell into an abhorrent state of disrepair.
Determined to give the structure new life and provide seniors with a dedicated gathering place, the Township undertook a complete gut and renovation. Every part of the building was renewed—transforming it from a neglected, empty shell into a warm, modern, and fully accessible facility.
The reopening of the Senior Community Center is more than just a renovation—it’s the revival of a landmark, now dedicated to enhancing the health, social connection, and quality of life of our senior community.
